HOW TO CHANGE IP ADDRESS

Dear friends you may have questions like How do i change my IP?How can i change my IP?Procedure to change my IP?Methods to change my IP? and many questions relating to IP.By reading this article you can remove question mark after each question.

An IP(Internet Protocol Address) is an unique address which is used to communicate between two networks.IP address acts as a locator which is used to find address of another network.Try this simple method before trying other methods.First remove your Internet connection that is Cable/DSL modem and switch off your computer.Do not power on your PC for 20mins.I hope this will change your IP address.If your IP dosen’t change after applying this method then follow the below methods.These method will hopefully help you to change your IP.

Following steps to change IP:

1)Go to Command Prompt.It can be done as (Start–>Run–>and type”cmd”)

2)Type this command “ipconfig/release” in dos prompt.(Do not use double quotes).

3)Exit the command prompt. This can be done as( type “exit” in command prompt without quotes).

4)Now go to “My network places”.right click on that and go to proporties.Then a screen “Local area connection” will open.

5)Right click on “Local area network” and go to properties.

6)Now double click on Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) .


I hope “Internet Protocol” is the last name in the scroll bar which is under the tab “general”.

7)Two options will appear you as -Obtain an IP address automatically.-Use the following IP address.just click the second option “use the following IP address” under “general” tab.

8)Create your own IP address.When you click on Subnet mask it automatically sets to 255.255.255.0.

9)Now hit the “OK” button.



10)Now go to “Local area connection” and click on proporties.

11)Go to “TCP/IP” settings.And this time click on “Obtain an IP address automatically”.

12)Click “OK” button.13)Now you will be having new IP address.

Note:This procedure only changes your Dynamic IP but not ISP/IP.

Simple trick to change IP:

1)Go to Command Prompt. (Start–>Run–>and type”cmd”).

2)Type this command “ipconfig/release” in dos prompt.(Do not use double quotes).

3)Type this command”ipconfig/renew” in dos prompt.(Do not use double quotes).

4)And restart your computer.I hope this will change your IP.

Third method to change IP by disabling Cable:
1)Go to Command Prompt. (Start–>Run–>and type”cmd”).
2)Type this command “ipconfig/release” in dos prompt.(Do not use double quotes).
3)Shut down your computer.4)Remove all connections such as Cable/DSL modem and turn off ethernet hubs/switches.
5)Now start your pc only after 6 to 7 hours.
